Support

Cloud and DevOps

AWS, Azure, and Ubuntu server setup, CI/CD, Docker, migrations, and monitoring.

The problem it solves

Applications get stuck on a single server that one person set up and nobody else can rebuild. Deploys are manual, there is no alert until a customer writes in, and a migration is feared because nobody is sure what the box is running. The fix is a setup that can be explained and repeated.

What’s included

  • A read of the current hosting, with the risks written down
  • AWS or Azure setup for the workload you have, not a catalog of services
  • Ubuntu server build, user access, firewall, and TLS
  • Docker where it makes the application easier to run, not by default
  • CI/CD so a merge can deploy to staging and, with approval, to production
  • Database and file migrations with a rehearsal
  • Monitoring and alerts for uptime, disk, and the errors that matter
  • Backup and a restore drill
  • A short runbook your team can follow

Key benefits

A server someone else can operate

Access, deploy steps, and the runbook do not live in one person’s head.

Releases without a late night

Staging and production are separated, and the path between them is a pipeline.

Migrations that were rehearsed

We run the move once on a copy before the cutover window.

Alerts that mean something

You hear about disk, downtime, and application errors. You do not get a dashboard nobody opens.

Technologies used

The exact stack is chosen for the project. See the full list.

  • AWS
  • Azure
  • Ubuntu

How this engagement runs

  1. 01InventoryWe list what runs where, and what would break if that machine disappeared.
  2. 02Design the targetThe proposal names the services, the cost band, and what we will not adopt.
  3. 03Build and rehearseStaging is deployed by the pipeline. The migration is practiced.
  4. 04Cut over and watchThe move happens in an agreed window, with a rollback and a week of close monitoring.

Service questions

AWS or Azure?

Azure when the rest of your identity and licensing is Microsoft. AWS for most other new setups. If you already have an account and a bill you understand, we extend that rather than start a second cloud.

Do we need Kubernetes?

Usually not. A well-run server or a small container setup is the right size for most of the products we ship. We recommend the simpler option that your team can operate.

Can you move us off a single cPanel server?

Yes, when the application has outgrown it. If cPanel is still the right home, we will say that and harden what you have instead.
