Website Maintenance, Security, and Hosting

Updates, backups, uptime monitoring, malware removal, hardening, performance, and cPanel or VPS care.

The problem it solves

A site that launched cleanly becomes a risk when nobody owns updates. Plugins fall behind, backups are never tested, and the first sign of trouble is a defacement or a form that has been quietly failing. Maintenance is the work that keeps the launch true six months later.

What’s included

  • A platform inventory: core, plugins, themes, and the accounts that can change them
  • Scheduled updates with a staging check before production
  • Off-site backups and a tested restore
  • Uptime monitoring and a response path when the site is down
  • Malware removal and hardening after an incident, or before one
  • TLS, headers, and login protection appropriate to the platform
  • Performance cleanup: images, caching, and queries that slow the public pages
  • cPanel or VPS management, including PHP versions and disk
  • A monthly note of what changed and what still needs a decision

Key benefits

Updates with a rollback

Changes are tried on staging or taken with a backup you can actually restore.

Someone is watching

Uptime alerts go to a person who can act, not only to an inbox nobody reads.

A cleaner recovery

If the site is compromised, we remove the infection, close the entry point, and rotate credentials.

Hosting that matches the site

We manage the cPanel or VPS you already have, or recommend a move when it is the cheaper fix.

Technologies used

The exact stack is chosen for the project. See the full list.

How this engagement runs

  1. 01InspectWe list what is installed, what is outdated, and whether backups exist.
  2. 02StabilizeCritical updates, a working backup, and monitoring go in first.
  3. 03HardenAccess, headers, and the obvious holes are closed.
  4. 04KeepA monthly cycle covers updates, a short report, and the queue of small fixes.

Service questions

Do you take over a site you did not build?

Yes. The first month is an inspection. If the site is in a state we cannot support safely, we will say what has to be repaired before a retainer makes sense.

What if the site is already infected?

Malware removal is a defined piece of work: clean the files and database, rotate passwords and keys, patch the entry point, and confirm the public site is clean. It is quoted separately from the retainer.

Will you host it yourselves?

We manage hosting on your account, typically cPanel or a VPS, so you keep ownership. We do not require you to move onto a proprietary platform to receive support.
